Bullying can take place face to face or online. Sometimes the impact of online is felt on a different level since it can happen at all times of day, regardless of location. It also is out of "sight" of many people so it is often not as visible to those not directly involved. This means it has to be addressed in different ways sometimes.
Research Project--Due Wednesday, October 15th at the end of class Create a Prezi, Animoto, or some other Google App presentation whose purpose is to teach students in grades 6-9 how to stay safe online (remember, chances of them wanting to just read a Word document are low, does it have activities with it? You can choose any of the topics related to internet safety and bullying such as:
digital footprint
Sexting
Cyberbullying
Or another internet safety topic that you approve with me
Criteria:
Three different online REPUTABLE/CREDIBLE resources (.edu, .org)
References listed at end of presentation
Correct spelling and grammar used in presentation
Images come come from Creative Commons or other Copyright Free cite. Google images are only allowed if credit is given in references
Google Presentation or similar should include a minimum of 4 slides + references.
Animoto should include 4-6 images with text.
Prezi should have 4-6 image areas with text
Use your own words. Make sure language use is appropriate for a 6th-9th grader.
Must have some sort of action, activity, discussion question or the like involved
